NICOSIA / LEFKARA – TUESDAY

Our tour starts in Nicosia the only divided capital in the world. Driving through the old city of Nicosia we visit the CATHEDRAL OF ST. JOHN which dates back in the 17th century. We pass through the Venetian walls, Famagusta Gate and the statue of Liberty. We continue our tour into the recently restored 19th century quarter of the city LAIKI YITONIA where you will have time for lunch (not included) and walk to the Green Line that divides the city in two. From Nicosia we then journey south towards the village of LEFKARA renowned around the world for handmade lace and silver.

TROODOS & KYKKOS – MONDAY & THURSDAY

We travel to the heart of the island of Cyprus, the Troodos, with its idyllic villages and evergreen forests. Stop at a Mountain Village with free time to explore the village. We will then travel through TROODOS and you be able to see from a distance the highest point in Cyprus, Mount Olympus standing 1,951 metres above sea level  (weather permitting).Our next stop is the breathtaking KYKKOS Monastery the most  famous and wealthiest monastery on the island, founded in 1092. Also a visit to the TOMB OF ARCHBISHOP MAKARIOS. Our return to Pafos through the forest with a stop at CHRYSORROYIATISSA monastery in Panayia.

LIMASSOL – FRIDAY

On this tour you will discover the legends and history which surround this beautiful region. Beginning at the Rock of Aphrodite, where according to legend the Goddess of Beauty and Love was born rising out of the waves. We continue our tour to KOURION * visiting the stunning amphitheatre and the House of Eustolius with fantastic mosaics. After a visit to the Crusader castle of KOLOSSI which was originally constructed in the 13th century by the Knights of St. John, we arrive in the coastal town of LIMASSOL. Whilst in Limassol we visit one of the islands largest WINERY where you will be able to taste some of their famous brands and buy a bottle or two of your favourite. In the centre of Limassol you will have ample time for lunch(not included) and the opportunity to track down a holiday bargain in the shops.   

NICOSIA AT LEISURE – TUESDAY & FRIDAY

An opportunity to go shopping in the capital of Cyprus, the biggest shopping centre on the island.  You will be dropped off in the centre of the city where you will have plenty of free time for shopping or sightseeing at leisure.

BLUE LAGOON – MONDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY & SUNDAY (MAY – OCT)

A visit to the Sea Caves before heading to the pretty fishing village of Latchi where we board a  Boat for a short Trip to crystal clear waters of the Blue Lagoon. On our return we will visit Aphrodite’s Bath. Just don’t forget your Swimsuit and Towel.

CYPRUS IN A DAY – WEDNESDAY

(BIRTHPLACE OF APHRODITE, TROODOS MOUNTAINS, NICOSIA & LARNACA)

We will take the southern coastal road making a photo stop at the Birthplace of Aphrodite before continuing into the TROODOS mountains and visiting the village of OMODHOS. Free time to explore the village and try the sweet Cyprus wine of Commandaria. We follow the way to Solea valley

through the villages of Amiantos & Kakopetria before visiting the Byzantine Unesco church of Galata. Leaving the mountains behind we head to the capital NICOSIA, the last divided city in Europe where you will have time for lunch and to explore the old city.  Then on to LARNACA,

stopping for a coffee or visit the Church of St Lazarus. Passing the Larnaca salt lakes we head back to Paphos.

BATHS OF APHRODITE – SATURDAY

We begin with a visit to YEROSKIPOU village followed by a visit to the monastery of ST NEOPHYTOS with its 12th century frescoes and caves. We then drive to POLIS where there once stood the ancient city-kingdom of Marlon.  At the charming square  we have a break for coffee. Passing the pretty fishing village Latsi we arrive at BATH OF APHRODITE. The scenery and landscape are breathtaking. According to the legend the goddess Aphrodite used to take her bath in a pool of a natural grotto, shaded by a fig tree. You will have time for lunch(not included) or a walk around the area. We travel back to Paphos through local Paphos villages enjoying the panoramic view of Paphos and Coral Bay.

KYRENIA & BELLAPAIS  EVERY TUESDAY & FRIDAY

This is one day that will give you many great memories.  We will stop on route for a refreshment break (not included) before continuing to the checkpoint. After passing through the checkpoint driving through the PENTADAKTYLOS Mountains we head to BELLAPAIS VILLAGE. Optional visit of the BELLAPAIS ABBEY, built  on the rocky mountain top. After we visit the picturesque harbour town of KYRENIA. It is bordered to the north by the sea and to the south by the greenery of five fingers mountain range and it offers the most magnificent scenery. Two hour stop for free time in KYRENIA for you to explore the Castle (optional) or wander the narrow cobbled alleys behind the harbour and take lunch (not included) in one of the local cafes.

FAMAGUSTA EVERY SATURDAY

This is an excursion you will never forget. We will stop on route for a refreshment break (not included) before continuing to the checkpoint. We then travel to SALAMIS in the ancient Kingdom of Salamina. It is one of the 11 Kingdoms built for its theatre, gymnasium and baths.

After we visit FAMAGUSTA, you will visit the part which is occupied by the Turkish as well as the part developed after 1974. You will have free time to walk around the market and visit the impressive Gothic Monument the 14th Century CATHEDRAL OF ST.NICOLAOS, which is now a mosque.  Leaving

Famagusta we pass by the area known as Ghost City the abandoned area where time has stood still since 1974.
